Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Ted Marcin ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the KatKalk mobile application ("App"). KatKalk is designed so that its core calculator functions work locally and without an Internet connection.

1. Who we are

2. Information handled by the App

The current version does not require an account and does not include advertising or analytics. We do not operate a KatKalk server that receives your calculator sessions.

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

• calculator positions, totals and timestamps;
• session names and optional position notes;
• calculator layouts and App settings; and
• temporary export files created when you choose to share a session.

3. How information is used

Locally stored information is used only to perform calculations, restore sessions, display their history and create files you explicitly request.

4. Sharing and third-party services

KatKalk does not automatically send session data to us or sell personal data. If you choose the sharing function, Android displays compatible apps and you decide which recipient or third-party app receives the exported file. The selected service processes that file under its own privacy terms.

Downloading and updating the App through Google Play is handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Storage and deletion

Sessions and settings remain in the App's protected local storage until you delete them, reset the relevant data, clear the App's storage or uninstall the App. Files that you export or share may remain with the selected recipient or service and must be deleted there separately.

6. Permissions

KatKalk does not request broad access to all files on your device for its automatic session storage. If a future feature requires an additional permission, the App will ask for it when needed and this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect information handled by the App. The security of exported information also depends on the sharing method and recipient you choose.

8. Children's privacy

KatKalk is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when KatKalk's functionality changes, for example before introducing optional online services, advertising or analytics. The current date will be shown at the top of this page.
